PROJECT

Initiated: 2009 Completed: 2009. Visual identity, event style, graphic design.

OUTCOME

Studio Dumbar China has developed the visual identity for the Dutch participation in the Shanghai International Creative Industry Week (SICIW), which will take place between 15 and 22 October 2009 and is organised by DutchDFA together with partners in the Netherlands and China. The programme has been titled ‘Dutch Design Works’.
The visual identity shows in an abstract but tangible way the spark that is so characteristic for Dutch Design: innovation and ideas. The visual system has a high recognition and flexibility, to be applicable on any medium. The colours are the DutchDFA colours. The type block always moves around the ‘electric’ shapes and changes colour with them, like a chameleon.
The visual identity will be applied on printed matter, banners and billboards near and in the venue and a billboard in the city. Also graphic design for the ‘Dutch Design Works’ exhibition on ‘Architecture & Urban Space’.
